This service helps customers developing a Cloud Strategy for Public Cloud. The Cloud Strategy considers opportunities made possible by the evolving and maturing cloud provider eco-system. The service identifies opportunities to leverage Cloud Computing models in support of business objectives.
The planning follows a structured process comprised of the following steps:
· Review of Business and Technology strategies.
· Review of current technology standards and common services (e.g. data protection)
. Review of workloads against decision ‘filter’.
· Identification of Public Cloud Opportunity Areas.
· Capability Gap Analysis.
A report including analysis and recommendations is delivered.
This service identifies which workloads are best suited to migration to the public cloud. It considers different cloud approaches for different workloads. Selected cloud solutions for workloads are mapped using attributes including Risk, Reward, Capability and Time to Value. This is used to establish a clear overall map of the best fit candidate workloads for migration to the cloud.
This service helps customers review the capabilities of Cloud Partners for Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS). Requirements are established in conjunction with the customer. This includes factors such as data protection, monitoring and management, capacity management, identity management, disaster recovery, pricing- structures, location and security. The engagement then considers capabilities against requirements, and single partner vs. multi-partner.
